'Light' House on Long Beach

I was coming home by Long Beach and as I was driving I noticed that the shed had its lights on. Funny I had never noticed this before but it looked kind of cool so I decided to make a u-turn and park by the shed for some shots. I couldn't believe how cold and windy it was so I wanted to take some quick shots. That didn't work well at all. I had my tripod with me and I thought that if I took some long exposures it would come out ok. I set the tripod up on my car's roof and turned the lights out on the car except the hazards. I was parked on the side of the road and wanted the cars approaching to see me. That's the first picture I got but I wasn't satisfied. I wanted to get the shot without the red glare (although I think it looks kind of cool :-)). Boy was it COLD. I had to wait until all of the cars coming had pass, turn out all the car lights and set the exposure for 30 seconds. It seemed like an eternity waiting for the shot to end but I caught a good pic with the stars shining in the night sky. I did the happy dance and jumped back in the car to warm my freezing hands.
